The Forest Barrel is one of three unique sleeper barrels at Cypress Sleeper Barrels.
Nestled within a lush forest setting, this barrel offers extra shade and a cooler, more enclosed stay while still being steps from the beach on Nipigon Bay in Gurney, ON. Each of our barrels is privately spaced, ensuring a serene beachfront escape.
This 7’ x 16’ cedar barrel is ideal for 2 adults but has a maximum capacity of 4. For groups of 4 adults, we recommend booking if you’re close-knit.
The barrel features a clever second sleeping area under the main bed, perfect for children or adults with a smaller build. This area easily converts from storage to a cozy sleeping space.

A stress-free getaway: We’ve taken the grunt work out of camping—everything you need is provided. Whether you’re staying for a single night or an extended retreat, all you need to bring are your personal belongings, food, beverages, and loved ones.
Morning views and outdoor comforts: Wake up to breathtaking views of the water through the bubble window.
Prepare breakfast in your private, fully equipped outdoor BBQ kitchen and enjoy it in the covered gazebo living room. Rain or shine, this netted and cozy space—complete with a propane fire pit—ensures your comfort in any weather.
Private beachfront sauna: Relax in your own beachfront sauna barrel, with enough firewood provided for a one-hour session per day of your stay. Need more time to unwind? Additional firewood is available for purchase.
Your site also includes a private fire pit and a changing station with a porta potty bathroom. While the sauna does not have a shower, a heated water basin and rinsing buckets are provided for freshening up. For a quick cool-down, take a dip in the lake!
For your convenience, we provide towels, toiletries, and eco-friendly soaps. Limited Wi-Fi is available at your site, with stronger connectivity at the shared picnic area.
