At Cypress Sleeper Barrels, your stay becomes a gentle invitation to stillness. Guests who book accommodations during this special weekend are welcome to join complimentary group experiences in yoga, breathwork, creative exploration, and sound healing, all surrounded by the stunning beauty of the lake and forest.

About Your Hosts

Owner of Cypress Sleeper Barrels & Know Yourself Well
Tara Carr
Tara Carr is the owner of Cypress Sleeper Barrels and founder of Know Yourself Well. As a somatic breathwork practitioner, energy healer, and nervous system educator with a polyvagal-informed approach, she believes nature is one of our greatest teachers for healing and transformation. Tara created Cypress as a place for people to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with themselves and the natural world.

Vik Wilen
Vik Wilen is a Canadian visual artist, yoga instructor, and creative guide whose work centers on connection, transformation, and the healing power of art and movement. She blends gentle movement, mindfulness, and hands-on art-making to create playful, supportive spaces for self-discovery. Vik will offer optional yoga sessions and a Creative Integration Workshop for those who wish to participate.

Pneuma of Life
Tom Paradis
Tom is the founder and sound practitioner behind Pneuma of Life. His immersive sessions blend crystal singing bowls, chimes, tuning forks, and voice to guide people into deeper states of presence and inner balance. Tom joins us for an optional evening of sound healing to help guests find stillness and reconnect with their inner harmony.

Meals
We’re happy to offer nourishing, seasonal meals as a courtesy for all guests during this special weekend. Meals are optional, and guests are welcome to bring their own food or snacks if preferred.
Participation in meals and group sessions is always optional. Guests may choose to spend their time however they wish.

Solo Stay (1 Guest): $1,699 +HST
Ideal for guests seeking solitude and deep rest.
Shared Stay (2 Guests): $899 +HST per person (must be booked with a partner or friend)
Luxury Canvas Tent
Solo Stay (1 Guest): $1,099 +HST
Perfect for quiet personal space.
Shared Stay (2 Guests): $879 +HST per person
Ideal for friends attending together.
Note: If you're coming solo but open to sharing, we can help match you with someone aligned to share accommodations.

Good to Know
- Bedding, linens, towels, and toiletries are provided.
- Complimentary meals are available, with vegetarian and gluten-free options. Guests are welcome to bring their own food if preferred.
- Beverages are available throughout your stay.
- Nearest airport: Thunder Bay. Guests will need to arrange their own transportation; parking is available onsite.
- Sauna facilities and river bathing are available. Eco-friendly soap is provided.
- Tent accommodations use shared port-a-potty facilities.
- Activities are suitable for all levels. Participation is always optional.
Suggested items to bring:
- Layered clothing for changing weather
- Bathing suit for sauna and lake dips
- Water bottle
- Yoga mat if preferred (mats are optional)
Payment plans are available. Guests can choose:
- A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to secure your accommodation.
- Pay in full at the time of booking, OR
- Pay 50% at booking, with the balance due 30 days before arrival.
- Spots are limited and non-refundable but may be transferred to another guest with prior notice.
- Photography may occur during the weekend; guests may opt out.
